CFAW President Faye Wattleton discusses whether Hillary Clinton had been treated disrespectfully by Barrack Obama at the State of the Union address. Ms. Wattleton’s view was that, in the absence of a serious policy discussion on issues specific to women, the public will scrutinize the candidates’ every public move for clues to determine their attitudes toward these issues. Ms. Wattleton felt that regardless of the tensions arising within the campaigns, Americans should focus on the way the candidates address women’s priorities.
