Women’s issues are America’s issue

November 01, 2007 - Women tell us the issues that are important to them.

Where do women stand today? What do they want? What are their top priorities and concerns? CFAW asks women directly.  We document women’s daily experiences accurately and uniquely through cutting-edge national opinion research and harness the strength of modern technology to raise national awareness about the issues that are most important to them.

Throughout 2008, CFAW will release the second edition of Progress and Perils, our omnibus national opinion survey. Progress and Perils II will capture the experiences, views, and concerns of 1,800 women, with an oversampling for reliable assessment of African-Americans, Asians, and Latinas. The survey will measure women’s views on a wide range of issues, including the war in Iraq, violence, and healthcare costs, and will examine how women connect politics and policies to the priorities in their personal life. The 2008 election could be a decisive one for women. Through a national, non-partisan multimedia campaign, CFAW will provide the facts to ensure women’s opinions are broadly heard, while challenging presidential candidates and elected officials to protect women from any form of discrimination.
