Wattleton and feminists weigh in on Clinton candidacy (Washington Post/Reuters)

President Faye Wattleton was quoted in an exclusive article for Reuters, which later was picked up by the Washington Post, on Sen. Hillary Clinton’s ground-breaking bid for the White House. The article, Feminists weigh vote for Clinton, examined the varied perspectives of women’s rights leaders. Several emphasized that millions of women are more concerned about selecting a candidate who best addresses their top issues.

“Being a woman in and of itself is not sufficient to gain broad-based support. We’re not doing affirmative action in terms of the presidency.”
