New Focus on Breast-feeding (NPR)

CFAW President Faye Wattleton was interviewed on the Tell Me More show on National Public Radio. The topic was women and their right to breast-feed. The topic was brought to greater attention while more than 100 countries recently observed “World Breastfeeding Week,” an event designed to promote breast-feeding as the most healthful nutritional choice for babies. To support the concept, New York City hospitals are no longer including baby formula in their gift bags to new mothers. Faye Wattleton poignantly discusses the politics of breast milk vs. formula.
