The article discusses the media’s deconstruction of Sen. Clinton’s heartfelt Q&A in a New Hampshire diner, the far fetched analysis of politicians’ wardrobe choices, and the acknowledgement of few older women leaders in U.S. culture. Wattleton concludes the article with the following excerpt:
True, we have never had an African-American president either. And in a way, Faye Wattleton, president of the Center for the Advancement of Women, says, “Mr. Obama is giving people an excuse not to vote for” Mrs. Clinton.
